Meet the Family
We are family owned and operated! We all contribute in different ways to Morelitea, but most importantly we support each other.
New to loose leaf? No problem! Follow our step by step guide to make your first cup.
Gather your ingredients and tools
Every great potion requires the finest ingredients and tools. For your tea-brewing quest, you will need:
Measure the tea
Every blend has its own magic, and the right amount of tea is crucial to unlocking its full potential. Measure the amount of tea you woudl like to use and place it in an infuser or tea bag. As a general rule, use:
1 teaspoon of loose leaf tea per cup (8 ounces) of water.
Feel free to adjust according to your taste preferences and the strength of the blend.
Heat the water
Each tea type has its own preferred brewing temperature. Morelitea will put the temperature for your tea on the front label. To reveal the secrets of other blends:
White and Green Teas: Heat water to 160-175°F (70-80°C).
Oolong Teas: Heat water to 180-195°F (82-90°C).
Black and Herbal Teas: Heat water to a full boil at 200-212°F (93-100°C).
Remember, the right temperature brings out the magical essence of your tea without scorching the delicate leaves.
Steep the tea
Pour the hot water over the tea leaves in your teapot or infuser, and let the enchantment begin. Just like with temperature Morelitea will tell you perfect time for every blend right on the label, for everything else use the following guide:
White and Green Teas: Steep for 2-3 minutes.
Oolong Teas: Steep for 3-5 minutes.
Black and Herbal Teas: Steep for 4-7 minutes.
During this time, the tea leaves will unfurl and release their full spectrum of flavors and aromas.
Savor the experience
Once your tea has steeped to perfection, it’s time to savor the moment. Pour your brew into a cup, take a deep breath, and let the enchanting aromas transport you to the heart of fantasy and adventure. Each sip should be a journey, a moment of serenity and delight.
