Our Sustainable Practices
Our mission is to help people connect with themselves and the forests we hope to keep around for future generations. That’s why we prioritize minimal processing and eco-friendly materials like cardboard and paper, ensuring our packaging is fully compostable to reduce our carbon footprint.

From Source to Cup

Purchase Ingredients
Our ingredients come from all over the world, and we want to ensure our ingredients are sourced ethically and sustainably. We work with multiple suppliers all located on the west coast of the USA who align with our values to get our botanicals, tea leaves, and flavorings. Whenever possible we buy directly from USA farmers, sourcing our fruits either from California or Washington State.
Blend in the Magic
Our family personally mixes every tea blend using our special recipes out of an FDA certified community commissary kitchen in Woodinville, WA. Working in small batches and often stirring by hand, we minimize waste and energy use while putting a lot of love into every tea we make.

Package Your Tea
We use more expensive packaging to ensure that our products are home compostable, even the labels. Given our small batches we print and cut our labels in our home office so we only make as much as we need to reduce our waste. Each tea is then hand packed by us with tea and cozy vibes just for you.

Why Home Compostable Packaging?
Loose leaf tea is often packaged with plastics, mylar, or metals creating unnecessary waste that is difficult to recycle. Some brands may also boast compostable packaging, but these often contain materials that can only be commercially composted, a luxury many do not have access to.
At Beyonder Studios we ensure every part of our process is home compostable. Our labels are made from sugarcane and natural wax with algae or water based inks. Tea is packaged in cardboard tubes or certified home compostable zippered packaging for samples and bulk sales. If we wrap products in a clear or “foil” film we use cellophane, a natural plant fiber, not plastics.
This increases our costs, especially as a small business, but we would rather have a smaller profit than contribute to a world becoming too hot and too polluted to grow tea.

Why Native?
Inspired by the values of our Cheyenne River Sioux ancestry, we believe it is our responsibility to care for the earth as those before us did. Living on the unceded ancestral land of the Duwamish and Coast Salish people, we are committed to restoring native landscapes, starting with our own backyard. We plant native species, participate in community restoration efforts, and advocate for indigenous land management practices that have sustained ecosystems for generations.
Together, we can make a difference one cup of tea and one thoughtful gesture at a time.
