Corabel

Ever since she hatched, Corabel has been a bright, shining spot of joy in the lives of her family and those around her. Always involved and in the middle of things, the cheerful young duck’s smile seemed to infect everyone except, perhaps, herself. Fears and insecurities about her own “drab” nature crept in at the edges, and while ruffled feathers were soothed by friends and family she could never quite shake the feeling. So it came as a shock when a brilliant young wax-wing traveling from port to port caught her up in his wings, wined and dined her, and made her feel like the most special bird in the whole wide world.

Corabel has never left Rod’s side since, throwing herself into the life of a traveler and merchant and finding herself oddly suited for it. Her can-do attitude and desire to support her husband has seen them through many tough spot, and she finds herself besotted with the many strange and exciting folk whom they meet on their travels. She delights in trading her own home cooking for trinkets and curios, shopping and bartering at the many different ports the couple visit.

Dearie me, but we haven’t seen each other in an age! Don’t even worry yourself, let me just fix up something for you dear, and just tell Corabel absolutely everything that’s been going on with you!

Oh my gosh, my knight in shining feathers! My Rod is my absolute sunshine, and he treats me like an absolute peach, don’t you know. I always said I would follow him anywhere, and that’s certainly proven true; those “itchy wings” of his have certainly sent us on our share of adventures! Oooooh, that bear. I have been chasing after him since forever, when I happened upon just the darlingest little stall of his. And those croissants! I just have to get the recipe from him, I keep telling Rod, but we just never seem to cross paths. I’ll track him down one day, you can bet your biscuits on it! Meet Nilla

Cove City

Oh my goodness, the first time I got off the boat here, Rod and I were both absolutely star-struck! The colors nearly made my head spin, and that’s coming from a duck with rainbow feathers! Rod of course immediately pointed out that the city was a perfect match for his darling’s beauty, that absolute charmer. Stars and sunlight, I don’t know much outside of Cove City! Rod and I usually stick around the ports; allergies, don’t you know, but my Rod, he’s been making some singsong about making our way south to the Spore Isles for better deals.
