Bosque de fuego helado

The Frostfire Forest is in the far north east of the Isles where creatures do not travel for no food grows here and the black of night is ever present. Along it's western-most edge is the abandoned city known as the Starlit Stone Ruins, said to be just as haunted as the woods themselves. Evergreen trees grow in the forest to heights beyond reasonable comprehension creating a dark canopy that blocks all light. Decay is all that remains of once lush underbrush, save for the bio-luminescent mushrooms that cause a glow of purples and oranges against the stark black shadow. This strange unearthly glow gives Frostfire its name, the flickering light in the distance looking akin to an approaching wildfire. The deeper one wanders the more trees seems to close in, their blacked bark etched with patterns that resemble twisted faces.

The creatures of the Isles cannot easily get to Frostfire, the Crescent Mountains dangerous and near impossible to cross even for birds, the White Plateau dangerous both due to the Banished as well as the bitter cold winds and desolate waste, and the wall of thorns that grows against the Glow Lantern River makes entering from the south east border impossible. As such to much of the Isles it is little more then legend in their favorite stories. Jack seems to be the only critter able to survive around here, and no one knows how or how he manages to even arrive at the forests safely. He isn't one to speak much, so it all remains a mystery, or perhaps just a grand tale he has made up.

Dialect

Dialect here is indistinct. Those who live here keep to themselves out of safety and may come from anywhere on the Isles.

Spirituality

Spirituality is if anything mocked. Many here aim to fight the Isles for themselves, or believe themselves to have more power than the Mysts overhead. The Isle's here are more responsive than anywhere else, but even when faced with the monsters formed in the darkness of the hungry forest those who survive here believe themselves to be somehow stronger than the ancient power of their homeland.

Art

Art is replaced here by innovation. Inventors who felt limited by rules like not taking too much or producing too quickly come to the ruins believing that here they will finally show the others that progress is the true answer to societies challenges. More often than not this costs them their life.

Holidays

The seasons don't seem to exist here, the land is either stagnate or creates hundreds of yeas of growth overnight. The air itself somehow feels stale, and the sky always overcast. There is nothing worth celebrating in the bleak wastes.
