Frostfire Forest Wiki

The Frostfire Forest resides to the Northeast, behind the Crescent Mountains and starting on the other side of the Lantern Glow River. The forest has always had a…strange…feel to it, almost like a presence exists there. The forest is made of tall, dense evergreens which keep the forest floor underneath dark as night year round. As the forest begins to clear and transition into the northern plains you can find the Ruins, which a few brave creatures call home. Because of the dense canopy the forest floor is weirdly empty, hosting no undergrowth, making the forest large but mostly without food. What little grows here glows, like you would find on the deep sea floor. Often rare and difficult to find, but highly prized, are the bioluminescent mushrooms found here, which are used to extract for light and other powerful uses. The faint glow of these mushroom from a distance can appear like a distant fire, giving the forest its name.
