Greet the Fall with our New Forest Friends: Jack, Persephone, and Talia

Jack, the Clever and Mysterious Cat
 | The mysterious Jack is a figure oft spoken about around the island, but can only be seen during the autumn months when he comes down from the mountains and the haunted woods of the Frostfire forest to trade his harvest of glow-cap, eternal-light, and jack-o-lantern mushrooms for supplies. These he packs away for his return to the frozen northern wastes, a place where few other creatures would dare to even tread, much less live. The elders of the island remember Jack as a spirited youth, prone to getting into debates, discussions, and all manner of conversation. Now though, Jack keeps his own counsel, and while he occasionally shares a cryptic remark, or indulges in a spooky ghost story, he doesn't discuss what goes on in his faraway home. |

Persephone, the Introverted, Slightly Morbid, Leshen
Persephone is a girl who loves secrets, cryptic passages in dusty books, and knowing things that others do not. With a penchant for the dramatic that only a teenager could embody, she is always incredibly serious about her various stories and intrigues, leaving the adults in her life with a sense of fond exasperation. Her clear passion, however, has led to her making friends along the way, most notably the dreamy Amani and spirited Indie (much to her chagrin), and while she would never admit it, she is quite fond of her two "adopted" brothers, Soot & Cinder. While she only visits the island once a year with her mother Talia, her flair for the dramatic and budding interest in performing has left a definite impression. |

Talia, the Matronly Turkey
 | Talia is a mother hen (or, well, turkey) through and through, her matronly bearing immediately apparent to all. Glinda's best friend throughout their lives, Talia greatly enjoys visiting along with her daughter Persephone, returning to old haunts and sharing stories over a cozy cup of tea. A natural botanist, Talia can name every bud, blade, and leaf that she might come across, and spends quiet hours on walks through her beloved forest, greeting each sprig and sapling as friends both old and new. |
